Dmytro Shevchuk’s review on book: Політична система України: конституційна модель та політичні практики.

This collective monograph examines Ukraine’s political system, particularly in terms of the institutional influences and transformations on which the country’s future depends. The authors focus on the evolution and current state not only of the main branches of government but also of institutions that are not political in nature yet can be considered indicators of the quality of the political system—for example, the media, civil society organizations, and financial and industrial groups. The introduction formulates the main hypothesis that guides the authors of the individual chapters: in Ukraine, there is a vast “gap” between the political model enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine and the reality on the ground.
